Inscribed, Diego Rivera, lower left. Matted. Diego Rivera was a prominent Mexican painter. His large frescoes helped establish the Mural movement in Mexican and international art. His murals are characterized by large, simplified human figures, bright colors, and a noticeable influence of Aztec culture. At the same time, Rivera gave preference to images of ordinary residents of his country and the events of the Mexican Revolution of 1910.
