Pavel Piskariov, Russian,1875 to 1949 a double sided religious painting on solid wood. Signed on the lower right corner on both sides. Side 1: Saint Pantelimon. Side 2: Saint Ilie. Coming with Certificate of authenticity from Ministry of culture of Romania. Pavel Piskariov was a muralist and machine tool artist, he skillfully uses the characteristic features of the majestic in landscapes and the chamber in the patronal faces of madonnas with babies, which makes him spiritually close to Mikhail Vrubel and Viktor Vasnetsov. Piskariov founds the art and trade school in Chisinau.
