Bendre, 1910 to 1992, an Indian artist, founder of the Baroda group, an experimental art school which offered an alternative to the nationalism associated with Santiniketan and the Bengal School. The artwork depicts a multi-figure scene, women with children. This painting combines traditional Indian miniature painting with French Pointillism. Signed in the lower left. Undated.
