Vasily Nikolaevich Basov (1918-1962, Moscow) was a Soviet artist and laureate of the Stalin Prize (1951). His works are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow. Basov's painting "V. I. Lenin And the Peasants of the Village of Shushenskoye" is depicted on a Soviet stamp from 1953.
