After Afro Libio Basaldella, Italian, 1912 to 1976, mixed media painting on board depicting an abstract composition predominantly in blue and white colors, 1960. The painting features pieces of newsprint on the surface, increasing its visual complexity. Signed and dated on the back side. Framed. Afro Basaldella was an outstanding Italian abstract artist, a representative of lyrical abstraction, better known as Afro, as he signed his works only with his name. Afro celebrates improvisation, brightness, emotion and color in his artworks. One of a kind artwork.
