THEOPHILE ALEXANDRE STEINLEN FRENCH LITHOGRAPH POSTER
Theophile Alexandre Steinlen, French, 1859 to 1923, a lithographic poster on paper, Journee Serbe 25 June 1916, depicting a group of Serbian soldiers leading civilians as they migrate. Signed and dated 1916 in the print, lower right. Marked in the print, Paris: I Lapina, and edition La Guerre, lower right and left. Framed. Theophile Alexandre Steinlen was a Swiss born French Art Nouveau painter and printmaker. He was politically engaged and collaborated with anarchist and socialist press.
