ROERICH - After Svetoslav Nikolaevich Roerich, Russian Indian, 1904 to 1993, an oil painting on canvas depicting a portrait of the artist Nicholas Roerich in a Tibetan Robe. Signed and dated 1927 lower left. Svetoslav Roerich, son of Nicholas Roerich, studied from a young age under his fathers tutelage. He studied architecture in England in 1919 and entered Columbia Universitys school of architecture in 1920. He won the Grand Prix of the Sesquicentennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1926.
