MODERN SWISS MALE PORTRAIT ETCHING BY KARL GEISER
Karl Geiser, Swiss, 1898 to 1957, etching on paper, Portrait of Daniel from the Portraits series. Signed with monogram in the plate, lower right. Framed. Inscribed and titled, on the backside. One of the most significant Swiss sculptors of the 20th century, Karl Geiser received his training in Berne, Munich and Berlin and, apart from brief visits to Paris, Rome and Genoa, worked mainly in Zurich. He enjoyed a successful career, and among his important patrons was the Winterthur collector Georg Reinhardt. As a sculptor, draughtsman and printmaker, Geisers subject matter was often inspired by children. Modern European Portraits, Graphic Art Prints, and Collectibles.

Overall good vintage condition. Signs of wear and age. Slight stains. Slight crease and tear. Has chips and cracks in frame. Refer to photos. Sold as is.
