ATTR TO UGO ATTARDI ITALIAN PORTRAIT OIL PAINTING - Attributed to Ugo Attardi, Italian, 1923 to 2006, oil painting on canvas depicting an Expressionist portrait of an old man smoking a pipe, 1976. Signed and dated, lower right. Framed. Ugo Attardi was an Italian painter, sculptor and writer. Attardi moved from Genoa to Rome in the early 1950s, where he formed the group Forma 1 together with other artists such as Carla Accardi, Pietro Consagra, Piero Dorazio, Mino Guerrini, Concetto Maugeri, Achille Perilli, Antonio Sanfilippo and Giulio Turcato.
