ATTR TO IRMA STERN FEMALE PORTRAIT OIL PAINTING
Oil on cardboard painting. Attributed to Irma Stern, 1894 to 1966, a renowned South African artist of German-Jewish descent associated with the Expressionist movement. The artwork depicts a portrait of a woman in pink sari. Signed and dated 1955 in the lower left. Golden frame. Provenance: acquired in the 1980s. Collectible Mid Century Modernist Fine Art, Portraiture.
