The original painting belongs to the French artist Elisabeth Vigee Lebrun, 1755 to 1842, and was painted in 1783. The painting is kept in the Palace of Versailles in Versailles. This version of the portrait was also used in the cover of Stefan Zweigs book Marie Antoinette. Matted and framed. Circa the late 19th or early 20th century.
