VALENTINA KHODASEVICH RUSSIAN SOVIET ERA PAINTING - Valentina Khodasevich, Russian, Soviet, 1894 to 1970, an oil on paper painting depicting a semi nude dancer. Signed in the Cyrillic lower right. Matted and framed. Valentina Mikhailovna Khodasevich was a Soviet painter, theater designer and graphic artist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Studied painting in 1908-1910 in the Sunday classes of the Stroganov School and the school of F. I. Rerberg. Then she continued her studies in Munich at the studio of G. Habermann, 1910-1911, and in Paris at the Vitti Academy with K. Van Dongen, 1911-1912. Returning to Moscow in 1912, Khodasevich worked in the studio of V. E. Tatlin on Ostozhenka, participated in exhibitions of the Union of Youth, Jack of Diamonds, Mir Iskusstva and others. Collectible Soviet Theater Related Artworks, Russian Fine Art For Collectors.
