WWII ERA PHOTOGRAPH OF ANNE STRINGER WITH OFFICERS
A vintage Second World War period black and white photograph depicting American and Russian Army officers and war correspondents toast each other as they celebrate the meeting of U.S. and Red Armies at Torgau, Germany. The lone woman in the group is Ann Stringer, 1918 to 1990, a United Press war correspondent. She probably is best known for sending the first dispatch from the linkup between U.S. and Russian troops at Torgau, Germany, on April 26. World War II Period Collectibles, Rare Historical Photos.
