RUSSIAN SOVIET ERA PHOTOGRAPH BY GEORGY ZELMA - A black-and-white photograph by Georgy Zelma, 1906 to 1984, a Soviet photographer and photojournalist. The piece depicts a flock of sheep in a Caucasian valley. Artists stamp and pencil marks on the backside. Lifetime print, dated 1984. Zelma worked for Izvestia, Ogonyok and Krasnaya Zvezda magazines in the 1920s and 1930s and was a war correspondent on the battlefields of the Second World War.
