ATTR TO LYONEL FEININGER CUBIST MIXED MEDIA PAINTING
Attributed to Lyonel Charles Feininger, German, American, 1871 to 1956, mixed media, ink and watercolor depicting a scene with figures. Signed lower left. Circa the 1950s. Matted and framed. Lyonel Feininger was a painter and a leading exponent of Expressionism. He worked as a caricaturist and comic strip artist. He also produced a large body of photographic works between 1928 and the mid 1950s, but he kept these primarily within his circle of friends.
