ANTIQUE CHINESE MING DYNASTY SWATOW CERAMIC PLATE
An antique Chinese, Ming Dynasty, Swatow ceramic plate. The interior of the ware is adorned with a hand enameled design representing plants in baskets. Raised on a low pedestal. Circa: 17th century. Swatow ware or Zhangzhou ware is a loose grouping of mainly late Ming dynasty Chinese export porcelain wares initially intended for the Southeast Asian market.
