Shmuel Katz, Israeli, Austrian, 1926 to 2010, a limited edition serigraph on paper, The Walls of Jerusalem. Signed in pencil, lower right. Numbered 51 of 200, lower left. Framed. Shmuel Katz was an Israeli painter born on 18 August 1926 in Vienna, Austria. Shmuel Katz was known for painting watercolors of the city of Jerusalem and illustrating childrens books and editorials. Shmuel painted landscapes and city scenes of Jerusalem with watercolor and won acclaim for his draughtsmanship. He was also famed for his illustrations in childrens magazines, books, and newspaper editorials. Judaica Israeli Graphic Art Prints and Collectibles.
