ATTR VU CAO DAM VIETNAMESE PAINTING ON SILK - Attributed to Vu Cao Dam, Vietnamese, 1908 to 2000, watercolor painting on silk depicting a woman walking through a field in a red dress with white flowers in her hand. Signed lower right. Vu Cao Dam is known for modernist figure, landscape and portrait bust sculpture. In 1932, he obtained a scholarship to further his studies as a sculptor in France. His painting during this period was mainly on silk, and showed the influence of ancient Chinese art. Collectible Oriental Fine Art, Southeast Asian Artists. Dimensions 23 x 15 1/2 in.
