ANTIQUE 19TH C RUSSIAN ICON JOY OF ALL WHO SORROW - An antique 19th-century Russian Orthodox icon of Mother of God in Joy of All Who Sorrow iconography. Mixed media painting: egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. In this Orthodox iconography, Mother of God is standing with Baby Jesus in the center surrounded by angels and suffering people, the God Father blesses her from heaven.
