ANTIQUE RUSSIAN ORTHODOX JESUS ICON IN SILVER RIZA - An antique Russian Orthodox icon of Christ Pantocrator, the Lord Almighty, or Savior Jesus Christ. Hand painted in egg tempera, gesso, and levkas on a wood board. The icon features an embossed 84 gilt Silver riza or oklad, engraved traditional detailed patterns, and embossed elements. Hallmarked with an 84 Imperial Russian standard, a makers mark, 1870, and other marks. Circa the late 19th century. Antique Russian Silver Religious Items and Collectibles.
