ANTIQUE FRENCH BRONZE SCULPTURE BY EUGENE MARIOTON
Eugene Marioton, French, 1857 to 1933, brown patina bronze, Phoebe. Marked, Salon 1889, on a base. Mounted on a purple breccia stand. Eugene Marioton was a French sculptor and medalist. He was a brother of Claudius Marioton and Jean Alfred Marioton, both also artists, and a pupil of Auguste Dumont, Gabriel Jules Thomas and Jean Marie Bonnassieux.
