A vintage Russian oil on canvas painting by Pavel Leonov, titled By the Manor. The painting combines a genre scene with people walking near a fountain and a landscape with a Manor in the distance. Signed by artist lower right. Framed. Circa mid 20th century. Provenance: Bonhams England. Pavel Petrovich Leonov, 1920 to 2011, was one of the leading representatives of Russian naive art. The artists recognizable style is characterized by a combination of large and small figures, as well as the division of the picture plane into separate squares in which various scenes unfold.
