A Soviet poster: Razvedeniye i soderzhanie krolikov, Rabbit breeding and upkeep. Published by OGIZ-IZOGIZ, 1931. Circulation: 20,000 copies. Artist Maximilian Eberman. The poster contains practical recommendations for keeping and breeding rabbits with a description of individual breeds. By raising rabbits in the 1930s, the state tried to solve the problems of food shortages in cities. Rabbits were bred even in city schools.
