MEXICAN STILL LIFE OIL PAINTING AFTER DIEGO RIVERA - An oil painting on board depicting a Figurative still life after Diego Rivera, Mexican, 1886 to 1957. Inscribed with initials, D. M. R., lower left. Diego Rivera was a prominent Mexican painter. His large frescoes helped establish the Mural movement in Mexican and international art. His murals are characterized by large, simplified human figures, bright colors, and a noticeable influence of Aztec culture. At the same time, Rivera gave preference to images of ordinary residents of his country and the events of the Mexican Revolution of 1910.
