ANTIQUE IRISH SILVER SUGAR SHAKER WITH ENGRAVING
An antique Irish silver lidded sugar shaker with engraving. The fact that it underwent engraving and alterations over time adds to its historical intrigue. Dates to the 18th century. The original 18th-century engraving would have reflected the design sensibilities and craftsmanship of that era, while the later engraving from the 1880s indicates a change in ownership or purpose for the item.
