JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINT BY TOSHIAKI NAKAZAWA
Toshiaki Nakazawa, Japanese, 1864 to 1921, triptych woodblock print titled Our Scout Bravely Fighting at Mount Dahei, Jinzhou. The piece belongs to the series titled The First Sino-Japanese War and was published in 1895 by Yokoyama Ryohachi. As a historical depiction of the First Sino-Japanese War, 1894 to 1895, this triptych offers a vivid portrayal of a pivotal moment in the conflict. Inscribed.
