JUDAICA LOT AND HIS DAUGHTERS PRINT BY ABEL PANN
Abel Pann, 1883 to 1963, Judaica color lithograph print depicting the scene with Lot and his daughters who plied him with wine to sleep with him in order to continue their lineage. Signed by the artist lower right in the plate. Inscribed in pencil below from Genesis XIX, 35. The quote reads And they made their father drink wine that night. Matted and framed. Abel Pann was a Russian-born Jewish painter and printmaker who settled in the Talpiot neighborhood of Jerusalem in the early 20th century and taught at the Bezalel Academy of Art under Boris Schatz.
