Abel Pann, 1883 to 1963, Judaica color lithograph print depicting the daughters a story of Lots daughters who having lost their fiances and their mother in the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah decided to continue their fathers line through intercourse with their father. Signed by the artist lower right in the plate. Inscribed in pencil below from Genesis XIX, 38. The quote reads And the firstborn bare a son, and called his name Moab and the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Ben ammi. Matted and framed. Abel Pann was a Russian-born Jewish painter and printmaker who settled in the Talpiot neighborhood of Jerusalem in the early 20th century and taught at the Bezalel Academy of Art under Boris Schatz.
