Boris Efimov or Yefimov, Russian, 1900 to 2008, an original ink painting on paper, In the Free and Rich United States, depicting a caricature military scene for the newspaper, Izvestia, 1984. Signed and dated lower right. Titled with a poem by Nicholas Entelis in pencil upper to the center. Inscribed in pencil, lower to the center. Boris Yefimovich Yefimov was a Soviet, Russian and Ukrainian political cartoonist best known for his critical political caricatures of Adolf Hitler and other Nazis produced before and during the Second World War, and was the chief illustrator of the newspaper Izvestia.
