A Russian Soviet watercolor on paper painting depicting a Soviet pilot after Mariam Aslamazyan, a maquette for the magazine Krasnoarmeets. Signed with Cyrillic initials N. Zh., possibly for Nikolai Zhukov, on the lower right. Krasnoarmeets, Red Army Man, is a magazine published in Moscow since 1919. In 1944, the magazine was awarded the Order of the Red Star.
