RUSSIAN GILT SILVER ENAMEL GEMSTONE LETTER OPENER
A Russian Neoclassical gilt silver paper knife or letter opener in the style of a Roman gladius sword. The handle is decorated with red guilloche enamel with silver overlay monogram of the emperor Alexander III. The piece is garnished with semiprecious stones. Figurative guardian helmet and Imperial eagle finial. Hallmark of 88 silver standard and makers mark are on the blade. Total Weight: 99 grams. The item comes in original box.
