ANTIQUE ENGLISH ELKINGTON SILVER PLATED TEA SERVICE
An antique early 20th-century English silver-plated tea service by Elkington and Co., a silver manufacturer active from 1830s to 1963. A set of five items, including a footed serving tray, a teapot, a coffee pot, a sugar bowl, and a creamer. The tray is garnished with an etched garland decor and has a high pierced rim. The other pieces are decorated with an embossed acanthus leaf pattern. Each item has an Elkington and Co. hallmark and electroplate mark on the bottom. Letters E and X stand for the years 1890 and 1909 accordingly. The tray has a serial number 75641 on the backside. Collectible English Silverplate, Serveware And Tableware, Tea And Coffee Sets.
