George B Luttrell II, American, 1936 to 2000, a lithographic poster on textured paper, 1982 Mardi Gras New Orleans Bourbon Jazz Street Club. Signed and dated in the print, lower right. Titled in the print, lower to the center. Marked with copyright Luttrell 1981, lower to the center. Professional artist, George B Luttrell II was born and raised in Louisiana. Edward Luttrell, his 17th century relative, was an artist of note in England and invented the art of copper engraving. George Luttrell resided in New Orleans and Mexico and was especially noted for his ability to express ideas in a broad range of styles. Many of his work were abstract and realistic.
