ANTIQUE CHINESE QING ANCESTRAL PORTRAIT PAINTING
An antique Chinese watercolor, gouache and pencil painting on paper. Qing dynasty, early 19th century. The artwork is a full-length portrait of a man and woman, the clothes of the portrayed indicate their high status and belonging to the court circle. This type of painting is named ancestral painting. It was a common comission in the Qing era and was created in workshops as the result of collaboration among several artists. Collectible Asian Oriental Fine Art, Chinese Ancestor Portrait.
