A pair of antique Chinese, Qing Dynasty, watercolor painting on linen canvas depicting an ancestor, a portrait of Emperor seated on a throne and dressed in a Royal robe and an elaborate headdress. The robe is adorned with traditional Phoenix bird, cloud, and scrollwork motifs. Unsigned. Circa: 19th century. These paintings traditionally come from Shanxi province which was home to many of the wealthy merchant families associated with the imperial court during the Qing dynasty.
