An antique Japanese Meiji period miniature Satsuma porcelain handled vase with a flared rim and the Shimazu crest underneath. Satsuma porcelain, originating from the Satsuma region in Japan, is known for its finely detailed hand painted designs and exquisite craftsmanship. The Shimazu crest, associated with the powerful Shimazu clan of feudal Japan, adds a historical and cultural dimension to the vase.
