RUSSIAN GILT SILVER ICON PENDANT SERGIY OF RADONEZH - A Russian Orthodox icon pendant representing Saint Sergius of Radonezh (Sergiy Radonezhsky), one of the most celebrated saints of the Orthodox church. Mixed media painting: tempera on a zinc plate. Titled in Church Slavonic. The icon is set in a gilt silver frame with polychrome champleve enamel ornament. There is a suspension on top. Hallmark of 84 silver standard and Pavel Ovchinnikovs makers mark are on the side of the framing. Pavel Ovchinnikov was a Russian jewelry manufacturer and supplier of the Imperial court in the late 19th - early 20th century. Total Weight: 138 grams.
