Afro Libio Basaldella, Italian, 1912 to 1976, oil painting on board depicting an abstract composition, 1959. Signed and dated lower left. Framed. Additionally inscribed to the back. Afro Basaldella was a painter and educator in the post World War II period. He began as a member of the Scuola Romana, and worked together with Alberto Burri and Lucio Fontana. He was generally known by the single name, Afro. Mid Century Paintings And Italian Art Collectibles.
