ANTIQUE JAPANESE MEIJI ERA CLOISONNE ENAMEL PLATE
An antique Japanese Meiji era decorative brass plate. The exterior of the plate is adorned with a polychrome image of a bird and insects in a garden with blossoming flowers, bamboo trees, and plants on a turquoise ground made in the Cloisonne technique. The border features a butterfly motif. The backside is decorated with a swirl ornament made in the Cloisonne technique. A hanging mechanism is on the backside. Unmarked.
