LTD PABLO PICASSO CERAMIC TILES IN WALNUT FRAMES SET

A limited edition collection of four ceramic tiles, La Femme, Wife, by Pablo Picasso, Spanish, 1881 to 1973. The tiles depict female portraits. Each is signed, lower right. Marked in Gold, lower left. Each tile is mounted in a solid walnut frame. The walnut frames are designed expressly for the Battram Gallery tile collections. Each frame is hand machined by a skilled woodworking specialist. The frames are solid walnut with four openings on the reverse side for the three Battram authentification markings and personal markings. Each tile is marked with label 7402 La Femme Authorized by the Estate of Picasso, copyright Spadem Paris 1976, and an ink fingerprint, an impressed stamp, and numbred, 1413, on the backside. Completed with an original signed certificate of Battram Gallery, a brochure and a package.Pablo Picasso, from 1881 to 1973, was a Spanish painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, and theatre designer who spent most of his adult life in France. Regarded as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, he is known for co-founding the Cubist movement, the invention of constructed sculpture, the co invention of collage, and for the wide variety of styles that he helped develop and explore.
