ANTIQUE CHINESE MING DYNASTY SWATOW CERAMIC BOWL
An antique Chinese, Ming Dynasty, Swatow ceramic bowl. The exterior of the bowl is adorned with hand enameled cobalt blue underglazed scrolling floral, foliage, and Phoenix bird motifs, raised on a low pedestal. The interior is covered with cobalt blue underglazed scrolling ornaments. Circa: 17th century. Swatow ware or Zhangzhou ware is a loose grouping of mainly late Ming dynasty Chinese export porcelain wares initially intended for the Southeast Asian market.
