RUSSIAN LENINGRAD PAINTING BY DMITRY BUCHKIN
Dmitry Petrovich Buchkin, Russian, born 1927, watercolor on paper painting depicting a cityscape view to the canal. Signed by the artist lower left. Circa the 1980s. Titled Fontanka River from the Leningrad Embankments series to the back. Matted. Dmitry Petrovich Buchkin is a Soviet Russian painter, a member of the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists, who lives and works in Saint Petersburg. He is also regarded as one of the representatives of the Leningrad school of painting, being best known for his genre and landscape paintings.
