IMPERIAL RUSSIAN SILVER TRAVELLING COMMUNION SET
A rare and unusual Russian Orthodox communion set made of silver. A total of 5 items. A chalice cup with engraved Orthodox cross on the front and gilt interior, unmarked. Two covered cruet boxes of round and square shapes for the bread and wine, with hallmark traces on the bottom. A gilt anointing spoon with a figurative cross handle, 84 silver standard and makers mark on the backside. A figurative box with a chain on top, the lockable lid is engraved with a multi-figure scene of a Christian communion. The interior of the box has several compartments to store the listed items.
