JAPANESE MEIJI ERA GOLDSTONE CLOISONNE ENAMEL VASE
An antique Japanese, late Meiji Era, enamel over brass vase. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century. The lobulated shaped vase is enameled with a polychrome panels with floral, foliage, butterfly motifs surrounded by swirl and geometrical ornaments made in the Cloisonne technique. The base and the neck of the ware are adorned with geometrical, swirl, and scaly motifs made in the same technique. The ground is inlaid with Goldstone. Unmarked.
