AMERICAN OCEAN VIEW OIL PAINTING BY VAL MCGANN
Val McGann, Irish, American, 1928 to 2016, oil painting on board, Evening Tide, Maine. Signed lower right. Framed. A gold tone plate is engraved with the name of the artist and the title, lower to the center, on the front of the frame. Val McGann is known for Marine and landscape painting. Val McGann studied at the National College of Art, Dublin; and the Byam Shaw College of Art, London. He has exhibited in Dublin, London, Boston, New York and Washington D.C. He had solo exhibitions in the House of Representatives, U.S. Capitol Building, Washington, D. C. and Butler Galleries. He was a member of the Founding Committee of the American Ireland Fund. One of a kind artwork.
