HEREND HVNGARY COUPLE OF DANCERS PORCELAIN FIGURE
A Hungarian hand made and hand painted porcelain figurine, Hungarian Dancers, by Herend Hvngary. The sculpture depicts a couple of dancers dressed in traditional costumes. Circa: 1960s. Mounted on a sculptural base. Marked with a blue ink factory stamp, and numbered 2, under the base. Herend is known for its long history of producing the finest hand painted porcelain worldwide. Herends trademark fishnet pattern design, which is most popular in the U.S., originated in 1858 when an artist intrigued with a Chinese plates fish scale design painted it onto a rooster figurines breast to imitate feathers. Each Herend figurine is handmade in Hungary. Vintage and Modern European Hand Made and Hand Painted Porcelain Figurines, Statues, Statuettes, Table and Desk Wares, Home Decor, and Collectibles.
