DRESDEN VOLKSTEDT LACE BALLERINA PORCELAIN FIGURE
A large German Dresden Volkstedt glazed polychrome porcelain figure, Fanny Elsler. Sculpted by Hugo Meisel. The figure depicts a Rococo Austrian ballerina dancer in an elaborate lace embellished dress. Mounted on an oval shaped rocaille base strewn with figural flowers and adorned with gilding. Circa: 1950s to 1980s. Marked with a blue ink manufacturer stamp, on the backside.
