An antique oil painting on canvas depicting a dueling scene after the original oil painting, Love, Twixt and Honor, by Laslett John Pott, British, 1837 to 1898. Unsigned. Circa: early 20th century. Framed. Laslett Pott is known for Paintings of figures, female portraits, landscape scenes with figures, illustration. The illustrator and genre painter Laslett John Pott was born in Newark, Notts, and he studied art with Alexander Johnston. He was a member of the Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Academy. Pott exhibited at the Baillie Gallery; Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool; and the Arthur Tooth and Sons Gallery. One of a kind artwork.
