An antique Chinese watercolor painting on paper mounted on silk, hand painted with a scene depicting Grooms and Foreign Horses after Jin Nong, Chinese, 1687 to 1763. Inscribed with calligraphy and sealed. Note: Jin Nong became popular as a painter and calligrapher while living as a childless widower in Yangzhou in his sixties. His paintings of mei blossoms were in particular demand there. Heralded as one of The Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou, Jin favored the amateur scholar style. Asian Fine Art And Wall Decor Collectibles.
