JUDAICA EXPOSITION OF MOSES PRINT BY ABEL PANN
Abel Pann, 1883 to 1963, Judaica color lithograph print depicting the Exposition of Moses. Signed by the artist lower right in the plate. Inscribed in pencil below from Exodus II, 3. The quote reads She took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river's brink. Matted and framed. Abel Pann was a Russian-born Jewish painter and printmaker who settled in the Talpiot neighborhood of Jerusalem in the early 20th century and taught at the Bezalel Academy of Art under Boris Schatz.
